Benjamin Fincher created the soundtrack for the silent film 'L'uomo meccanico' by André Deed (1921). Originally designed for a one-time performance that took place in September 2022 during the heritage days in Nice (specifically at the Mamac), it later went into the studio to create this album.

Between electro, pop, experimental, and ambient, Benjamin Fincher pays homage to this cult film, a pioneer of science fiction culture.

This is one of the first Italian science fiction films. A copy of the film, considered lost, was found in Brazil in the early 1970s and is the only existing film of a trilogy directed by the French director André Deed, known in Italy for playing the character of Cretinetti. The anthropomorphic robot around which the film is centered owes its visual design to the mechanical men designed by Fortunato Depero and Ivo Pannaggi and anticipates some of the most recurring themes of science fiction and horror production of the 20th century.
